Telehealth links our computer to yours, so that you can see and hear us and we can see or hear you. We can even share our computer screen with you so that we can look at the same pictures or materials together.
We use Webex, secure web conferencing software, to provide telehealth to your home. We also provide services through MB Telehealth to health-care facilities in Manitoba, mainly in the Northern Regional Health Authority.
Telehealth is convenient and cost-effective – it reduces time spent travelling, thus making therapy more affordable.
We had a blast presenting preliminary results of the study we did with the Baycrest Centre comparing telehealth to in-person intervention for post-stroke communication disorders at the Canadian Stroke Congress, and Aphasiology has published an article describing our study.
